Aurélien Guichard is a French perfumer from Grasse, a region with a long-standing tradition of fragrance creation. His work combines technical expertise with a strong interest in the character and quality of raw materials. Alongside his work as a perfumer, he founded Matière Première, a fragrance house built around highlighting key perfumery ingredients through modern, focused compositions.

About The Brand

Founded by master perfumer Aurélien Guichard, Matière Première places raw materials at the heart of contemporary French perfumery. Guichard cultivates ingredients including Centifolia rose, tuberose and lavandin on his land in Grasse, connecting fragrance creation directly to the source of its materials. Each perfume is built around a prominent natural ingredient, allowing its texture, character and distinctive facets to take centre stage.

Each fragrance is an authentic decant, transferred from the original bottle. Original bottles and packaging are not included.
