Hawas Boa opens with tart, dewy fruit, where Madagascan pomelo, prickly pear and green apple meet orange blossom. It then turns drier and more grounded, with tonka bean, driftwood and olibanum adding a slightly smoky edge before vanilla, vetiver and sandalwood form a warm base.

The contrast between bright fruit and a drier, smoky heart gives it more depth than a simple fruity scent. It suits evenings and cooler days, though the fresh fruit start means it needn't be saved for winter.

About The Nose

Théo Belmas is a French perfumer whose path to fragrance ran through chemistry, music and dance. After studying molecular chemistry in Toulouse, he took a perfumery master’s in Montpellier, where he also trained in contemporary dance, and began his career at Concept Aromatique in Grasse. He now creates at Symrise in Paris. He leans towards amber and oriental structures and powerful compositions, often returning to cardamom, olibanum, sandalwood and Madagascan vanilla absolute. He sees niche perfumery as a space for creative freedom, where luxury ingredients, unconventional textures and fewer boundaries put the focus on smell itself.

About The Brand

Founded in Dubai in 1979 by Abdul Razzak Kalsekar, Rasasi began as a small perfume business inspired by the rich fragrance traditions of the Gulf. The family-run house combines traditional Arabian ingredients and perfumery influences with contemporary international styles. Its extensive collection ranges from oud, musk and amber compositions to fresh, modern fragrances, reflecting the versatility of Middle Eastern perfumery.
