Ombre Nomade (2021)
Louis Vuitton
Ombre Nomade is a commanding composition of dark oud, smoky incense and rich, velvety sweetness. Tart raspberry cuts through the resinous depth of the oud, while rose lends a subtle floral richness that deepens its character. As the fragrance develops, dry incense and warm benzoin create a lingering, balsamic warmth, leaving behind a dark, smoky trail.
Intense, opulent and unapologetically bold, this is a fragrance that commands attention. Its earlier, pre-reformulation batch is particularly sought after by enthusiasts who favour the darker, more powerful character associated with older bottles, often describing them as richer in depth, with more pronounced projection and impressive longevity.
A rare and increasingly hard-to-find release, this is an opportunity to experience Ombre Nomade in an earlier iteration of its celebrated composition. Best suited to autumn and winter, its enveloping warmth and unmistakable presence come into their own on cold evenings and special occasions.
About The Nose
Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud is a French master perfumer born into a family with centuries of roots in Grasse, the historic heart of French perfumery. Inspired by his father and grandfather, both perfumers, he developed a deep appreciation for natural ingredients from an early age. His style combines traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation, particularly in fresh, aquatic and citrus compositions, alongside richer woody and oud-based fragrances. His notable creations include Acqua di Giò for Giorgio Armani, L’Eau d’Issey for Issey Miyake and Ombre Nomade for Louis Vuitton. Since 2012, he has served as Louis Vuitton’s in-house perfumer.
About The Brand
Louis Vuitton’s story in perfume began in 1927 with Heures d’Absence, launched under Gaston-Louis Vuitton, grandson of the house’s founder. In 2016 the house returned to fragrance with its own perfume workshop, Les Fontaines Parfumées in Grasse, led by Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud. Inspired by the art of travel and the world’s rarest raw materials, its fragrances include modern icons such as Ombre Nomade, Imagination and L’Immensité.
Each fragrance is an authentic decant, transferred from the original bottle. Original bottles and packaging are not included.
